Aya Awakenings: Promo Video
Task: Ayahuasca Retreat Promo. Create an animated video with After Effects for 10-day healing retreats with Writer-Producer Rak Razam, and shaman, Percy Garcia Lozano, in the Peruvian Amazon.
Result: This promo has been used annually since 2016. I used After Effects to create textured surfaces, merge type, sound, and photography.

The documentary film, Aya Awakenings, was directed by Timothy Parish who also created the animation and visual effects. The film features experiential journalist, Rak Razam on a journey into the world and visions of ayahuasca, a powerful hallucinogenic plant medicine from the Amazon, capturing the experience and the western dynamic around it in unprecedented detail.
